The snow sparkles, twirling in the sky, the flakes dappling our view
that we see, this gift you gave, so many years
years I lost confined to the moon
Each blade, each curve, a miracle, a perfection that only you saw
you who have no eyes, but could see so much more clearly then any of us
If only I had had your vision, perhaps things would have been different
Perhaps I could have known, held on longer....
For the winter now falls, each cold fleck against my skin and fur,
the soft dew covering my wings and moistening my feathers
I quiver and bend my head low, mane blowing chilly in the wind
None are out here tonight
none to appreciate the miracle of the dark, or see that moon,
that white orb upon which I was confined so many years
but even then, back so many years,
in some part of me, you would come out nightly and stare, looking for me
Now that I look in the sky
enjoying the soft feel of your gift, I look now,
searching for you
I wish I could say those words which I could not so many years ago
I love you,
May these words carry to you
wherever you now lie
may you dream peacefully
a small poem of luna's feelings for her dearest and first friend, snowdrop. do enjoy!
This was amazing, honestly I started to cry wile reading this. I understand Luna's feelings and it is relevant with what really did happen in the series and what she said in Snowdrop's story. I think it is very original, I have seen some pictures but I haven't seen any writing about this part in the story. The picture at the top is also very well drawn, I like what you did with the shading and texture, not a style I would use but still, this is a very good poem and I really think its amazingly done, good job.
